Fill in the Blank Friday
A twofer on posts for today!! I posted on my gratitude challenge and then could not help but to Fill in the Blanks when I saw this theme.
1. Something I swore I'd never do, but have ended up doing anyway is giving in too easily to The Mayor. I try (for both our good), but sometimes his cuteness just wins over.
2. Something I've always wanted to do is travel to Europe. Someday!
3. Something I have absolutely no desire to ever do is go in a hot air balloon. Nope, not going, not happening.
4. The best thing I ever did was trust my instincts when I left my hometown with Hubby. It was risky, scary, out of my comfort zone and exciting. It changed my life and it changed me. It's why I am the person I am today.
5. When it comes to trying new things, I am hesitant. I get nervous when it's time to do something new. So much so that I will even talk myself out of things sometimes.
6. One thing I've never done is traveled outside of North America. Again, someday!
7. My favorite thing do do is cook!

Fill in the Blank Friday
2. My favorite smell is the Mayor after his bath or shower. I can't stop hugging him.
3. My favorite taste is the first sip of morning coffee.
4. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was the view of the ocean on my wedding day! I remember feeling so happy and everything just looked so amazing.
5. The best sound ever is M&M's being poured into a Waterford Crystal bowl. Random, yes...but the sound is so glorious that I have a beautiful bowl that I call the M&M bowl.
6. A smell that reminds me of my childhood is the smell of the beach...sand, ocean and sunscreen.
7. My favorite of all the senses is sight for sure...I love all the beauty out there to appreciate.
I am so looking forward to this weekend; and I'm sure that I will sit down at the end of it and get that feeling of being content - and I'll count my blessings.
Cheers!

Fill in the Blank Friday!
The days have been long, and the nights have not been long enough, so I've been feeling super tired. More tired then normal...which says a lot. There are so many things that I miss lately. Things like eating healthy, working out (I was doing so great with my running!) and of course blogging. I've even been missing reading all my favorite blogs.
This weekend hubby is off fishing, so I'm going to do some catching up...some relaxing...and getting ready for the week ahead. To start this off on the right foot, I'm throwing down a Fill in the Blank Friday to get me in the mood. Plus, I love the topic...Lasts!
1.The last thing I ate was pizza with The Mayor. It was his choice - even though we already had pizza one day this week. Oh well!
2.The last time I went to the beach was in June; and it already seems like too long ago.
3.My last vacation was coincidentally in June. I was able to take the Mayor and go back to NJ to visit the family and be there for my niece's graduation.
4.The last place I drove was on the afternoon round. From work, to The Mayor's school, to the gas station and home. It felt like I was in the car forever.
5.The last song I listened to was The A Team by Ed Sheeran.
6.The last thing I watched on TV was five minutes of the movie Overboard with Goldie Hawn. That movie is just hysterical. However, the last thing I officially watched was The Real Housewives of New York on my DVR. Might I add that some of them are just nuts!
7.The last time I said "I love you" was when I put The Mayor to sleep. Every night we always say, "I'll see you in the morning, and a thousand times tonight!"
If you love filling in the blanks...hop on over to http://thelittlethingswedo.blogspot.com/. She comes up with these great lists each week and lots of other great posts.
Cheers! Have a great weekend!

Yeah I'm Posting Something
Fill in the Blank Friday!
It feels like forever since I have taken the time to sit down and blog. My poor blogs have been neglected and are a little dusty. You know what? The reality is that when I have time for my blogs, they are right there where I left them. Patient, non-judging and ready for me to rattle off what's on my mind. Kinda like a really good friend, I guess!
So no promises that I'm going to make an effort to blog more, no declaration of dedication, just a little "Fill in the Blank Friday" to get my mind feeling a little more creative. Here we go:
1. I am proud of my husband. I don't say it enough, and I know I'm annoying the crap out of him lately, but I love him. I am proud of him for the dad he is and for trying to keep it together when a lot of other people would have already caved.
2. This weekend I will have breakfast with two friends that I don't see nearly enough, shop for school supplies (Wow, what a list!) and hopefully get my house in order from the last few chaotic weeks.
3. A secret dream I have is to become an athlete. Sounds corny, but I would love to be one of those "run a 5K for fun" kinda people.
4. I can't handle lying! It's the one thing I have no tolerance for.
5. The most annoying thing in the entire world is people who don't know how to merge when driving. It's not that hard...one at a time, your turn, my turn, the next person's turn. Sounds easy until that one person just has to barrel over everyone else to be first.
6. The most relaxing thing in the entire world is laying in bed with a book, on a Sunday night, after a great weekend. There is something about it that says, "it's going to be a good week!"
7. I think everyone should treat others the way they want to be treated!
Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend!
Cheers!

Mother's Day Challenge - Day 6 - Fill in the Blank Friday Edition
So I'm killing two birds with one stone tonight! I'm enjoying a little Fill in the Blank Friday fun mixed in with my Mother's Day Challenge! I have really enjoyed the Fill in the Blank Friday lately; it's like Mad Libs for Bloggers! Plus, after the up and down week I've had...these blanks are cheerful and fun.
1. Something that is very near and dear to my heart is, my husband. He's personally gone through a lot this past year with his career. He continues to be strong and has been amazingly helpful and supportive and that means a lot to me.
2. Friday is a good cause to celebrate!
3. The most fun I ever had was at our wedding! Hands down still the best 5-day party ever. I will never forget one minute of it and still love when others remind me how much fun they had at it.
4. True friends are people who let you be yourself. The love you the way you are...no matter what!
5. Something that makes me terribly happy is my little boy. I never thought I could love someone so much. When he hugs me I just melt.
6. A good way to spend a sunny day is outside in the yard with a cold drink.
7. My favorite celebratory food is cake! Cliche yes, but a party or celebration without cake is just not the same. And think about it, a cake can actually define the mood of the celebration.
And now off to bed I go! I know, I know...that doesn't sound like much of a me time ending to today's challenge, but tonight it's the best I can do!
It's a Friday night, the week has been long and busy, and the weekend is looking to be just as crazy...and I haven't had one minute to stop and collect my thoughts all day. So, I was trying to think of what the best thing I can do for me right now, the only thing that really sounded appealing was jammies, my book and my bed.
With the benefits of sleep being everything from better memory to clearer thinking - I think this is a great idea. Plus, the added bonus is that I will be able to enjoy some time reading (which, by the way, reading more was another resolution of mine this year).
My hope is to wake up tomorrow morning refreshed and ready to take on the busy weekend.

Fill in the Blank Friday - The Good Health Edition
1. On a scale from 1-10 the frequency with which I get sick is, probably a 5. I think I get sick about an average amount...but once a year I get a knock down drag out cold!
2. The last time I felt sick was March...and pretty much the whole month of March with a sinus infection that would not leave!!
3. The worst part about being sick is that icky sick taste you get in your mouth because no matter what you do, or how much you drink, you can't make it go away.

3. The worst part about being sick is that icky sick taste you get in your mouth because no matter what you do, or how much you drink, you can't make it go away.
4. When I am sick I like to be taken care of by being left to lay in bed, watch TV, eat chicken soup and sleep.
5. Something I do to keep myself healthy is to take your vitamin C. I start my day with a packet of EmergenC.
6. A secret remedy that I use when I'm sick is to drink, drink, drink.
7. One thing that always makes me feel better when I'm sick is the empathy of my 5-year old. There is nothing cuter then him "taking care of mommy!" He does this thing where he rubs my cheek and tells me, "it's okay mommy."
I am so very excited about heading into the weekend! Not only is it Mother's Day, but it's the first weekend in a while that we are not over booked and needing to run around like crazy people. Is it weird that I am looking forward to being a homebody tomorrow - cleaning and doing laundry.
There is a little something that I'm planning this weekend that I'm excited about - but more details about that will come tomorrow.
Have a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mom's out there!

Fill in the blank Friday!!
| Yeah Weekend!! |
I needed a little ditty for this morning. I'm in a blogging mood, so I am super excited for the weekend. I have grand, grand plans of doing so many things...least of which is catching up on my writing!
So to get me started, I have pulled some Fill in the Blank Friday fun from my blogger friend (and real life friend) Little Miss Sunshine! Who BTW is blogging up a storm lately after a hiatus. You can check out her adventures at http://littmssunshine.blogspot.com/.
1. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is, hop in the shower! Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. I am out of bed and in the shower...any/every day of the week. I just can't seem to get going without some hot water rolling down my back. Once I'm showered...the day can officially begin.
2. I can hardly wait for my upcoming trip to New Jersey! Woo Hoo! Ok...cheering about going to NJ might seem a little off to some peeps, but I'll get to see one of my bestest friends, "Amy from the front seat." I also get to see my family, and be there for my oldest niece's graduation. Oh, and the best part is that one of my other besties, "Amy from the back seat," will be coming along for the fun.
3. The quickest way to my heart is food and hugs, hugs and food because I'm so ridiculous! Feed me and hug me and I'm content. Oh, and if the food is chocolate or pasta or ok, any kind of food...let me stop now before I embarrass myself.
4. A little know fact about me is that I secretly dream that I go back into politics (yes, that did imply that I was once in politics) and come up with some revolutionary thoughts and ideas that save the economy, make both sides play more fair and get rid of personal attacks on candidates and their families. Ok, maybe I should work on World Peach...might be easier! But all joking aside, it's a nice dream.
5. The best part of my job is the people! Do you think everyone says that? Regardless...I'm glad that I can say it!
6. Something I couldn't live without is hairspray. Now, I could have said...my hubby, my son, or any number of things...but I was thinking utilitarian. I'm from Jersey. I need my hairspray or I just don't feel put together. And besides, you should see my hair get larger by the minute if I don't spray it into submission in the morning!
7. Something useful that I wish I knew how to do is use Photoshop. Oh the fun I could have with my pictures.
Well, gotta get back to my productive day! Have a happy Friday...and check out Little Miss Sunshine's blanks here - and if you want to do your own check out Lauren at "the little things we do" where you can link your blanks, but see links to others as well.

Fill in the Blank Friday - Just a Little Late!
Still struggling with my bloggers block, here's another fill in the blank...well, just because!
1. One of life's most simple pleasures is reading! Oh how I love to read, and oh how I wish there was just more time in the day for it. I've been making an effort lately...and for that I'm happy!
2. Witnessing people drive like entitled idiots makes me want to punch someone. Darn is that just annoying!
3. I like reality TV because, I don't have to think too much about it.
4. Borough is a funny word.
5. If I had to choose one beauty product to use for the rest of eternity it would be hairspray, yes, hairspray. I am after all from New Jersey! And for the record, I like hairspray that actually holds your hair in place...sheer hold just doesn't cut it!
6. I'm happy that I had a super productive weekend.
7. I would never jump out of an airplane, make a sex tape or star in a reality show.
Well, I've started a new post, so hopefully it will be up soon. In the meantime, maybe you learned something new...and maybe you'll copy and post this to your own blog. Cheers.
