Mother's Day Challenge - Day 1

Happy Mother's Day!

I am so happy to report that today was a Mother's Day for the history books.  It could not have been better!  Besides the fact that C and The Mayor spoiled me, I got to chat with my mom on the phone uninterrupted (well, almost uninterrupted) for an hour, but I also carved out almost an hour of time by myself to do what I wanted to do.  Yeah, first day mission accomplished!!

So with an hour of time to myself I decided to head to Target and picked out a new lipstick for myself.  Ohhh, Ahhh, Wooowww!  I know, super exciting, not!  But wait...I stood in the makeup aisle...alone and contemplated what color lipstick would give me a swing in my step, some pop in my mood and some pretty on my lips.  Would it be a pink, or a browner shade or even a bold red?  It was my decision and I was standing there making it all alone - no one rushing me, a child not wanting a drink or the bathroom or a snack. Nice!

It has been said that the purchase of lipstick is an inexpensive way to boost your mood and change your attitude.  I'm going to have to agree with that and recommend that if you need a little me time, head to the lipstick aisle, to Sephora, to your favorite makeup counter and hook yourself up.

I have to be honest though, I was going for the budget friendly lip-happiness...and goes to show what I know.  A Cover Lipstick was over $7.  Oh well.  I'm in love with Outlast All Day Lipcolor #619 Lingering Spice.  I can't wait to wear it to work tomorrow.

Well, it's now that time for bedtime routines, lunch ready for tomorrow and hopes of climbing into bed before 10.  I hope your Mother's Day was filled with lots of love and lots of hugs.

Until tomorrow...Smooch!
